WHEN I GET LONELY, I PRESS PLAY

When I Get Lonely… was Ruby’s first solo art exhibition. With about five weeks to go until opening, she managed to accidentally delete hundreds of files and months of work, meaning starting from scratch. The show was supposed to run for a week, and instead only lasted a mere few hours thanks to a covid lockdown. No matter… she still had the best bloody time putting it all together.

Drawing on her career experience as signwriter, creative director and visual merchandiser, the works were a melding pot of graphic and digital design, text, mixed media and installation, while drawing on visual inspiration from vintage music posters, 90's cartoons and 60s propaganda.

All prints are available for purchase via the shop on this website.

Feel free to get in contact with Ruby via email (therubysohoproject@gmail.com) for more information on custom artworks.
