My very mild
super power…
making any space, human or event look a million bucks on a shoestring budget with a fraction of the resources usually neccessary.
I love an event to be immersive. I get off on the tiny details of making a space and a photo perfectly balanced and beautiful. And I adore putting people in front of a camera and seeing them light up.
All the below events and promotional images were conceptualised, styled and directed from start to finish by me. A couple of them I ended up in front of or behind the camera as well. A huge thanks to the various photographers I have worked with over the years as these images would never exist without their wonderful work <3
LUSH magazine "Naked" photoshoot. What an amazing day to coordinate and be a part of

The final naked cover image which ended up going viral and seen by millions of people. Mainly thanks to hysterical mums shrieking "won't somebody think of the children!" and trying to report LUSH for promoting pornography. Career highlight- Zooey Deschanel shared the image and Pedestrian article on her Instagram
It becomes apparent when I put these images into one portfolio that I loved photographing hairy men in a bathtub. I think you can see why.

Haircare promotion. Just look at that mane. At LUSH we only ever photographed staff members, never used models and NEVER photoshopped.

Bathtime fun to capitalise on all the Instagram friendly bombs of the moment

Absolute fave shoot ever with the fierce Amelia from Adelaide. We had female staff members growing their armpit hair out to simply stand in front of their store windows and take a photo with this powerful image. Just giving a bit of a finger to the cosmetics industry.

Pink Pete. How delightful. He bought me a copy of the first Rage Against the Machine album on vinyl to say thank you for choosing him to feature in our store windows.

Serious About Skin with some of the QVB store team

Yes that's me. I do much prefer being on the other side of the camera but I can think of worse ways to spend an afternoon than in a bubbly tub with Rory.

Mems and Thom- a love story <3 Our Valentines Day poster couple
Event styling for Mardi Gras Fair Day for Lush. Every year we had a huge tent and came up with different activations, photo opportunities and activities for the public to join in.

We had these bubble hats made for events at LUSH and they travelled around the country SO MANY TIMES. Here I am being bubble girl host at the Adelaide store opening party which I coordinated.

Shot down the side of Woy Woy Vinnies maaaaate. I still love this shot of Monty.

Fashion diploma photoshoot. All clothing designed and made by me from recycled garments

More Lauren being sassy in front of the old signage of Fishermans Wharf

Fashion diploma swimwear photoshoot- an actual TAFE group project that didn't end up with team members wanting to kill each other.

Fashion diploma photoshoot- shot sneakily at Cockatoo Island without paying the exorbitant licencing fees

Fashion diploma swimwear photoshoot- all the items were printed, designed and sewn by us, with a collaborative effort on the styling and direction of the shoot on the day.

The gorgeous effervescent Phoebe who ran hula hoop workshops at Work-Shop Aus. What a dream to photograph- every shot was a winner
